Morepen Labs takes up the COVID Battle initiative
Morepen Laboratories Ltd. is all set to play a leading role in India’s battle against Novel Coronavirus Disease (popularly referred to as COVID-19). The company has introduced a wide range of critical products needed to counter the increasing threat of COVID-19 and to prevent further spread of COVID-19 in the world. The company also secured a license last week to manufacture Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) from the State Drug Controller (HP) for its Baddi plant in Himachal Pradesh and is working to commercialize HCQ in both API and tablet form. HCQ is a prescription-based drug that is widely prescribed for patients seeking care with the disease in Corona. India is taking the lead in supplying HCQ to the rest of the world, including the United States. India is the largest producer of HCQ and will remain a pioneer in this time of crisis.

Non-Contact Infrared Thermometers measure the temperature through infrared rays from a distance without any physical contact with the person whose temperature is to be measured. Such thermometers easily calculate the temperature from a distance of 1cm-5 cm from the forehead of a person entering any public location, such as a hotel, airport, warehouse, workplace or any religious location. They are commonly used around the world to identify possible Corona carriers. These are battery-operated, convenient and easy-to-use thermometers that require no qualified technicians.
The company has also extended its range of ‘Alcohol-based Sanitizers,’ ‘Hand Wash,’ ‘Body Rubs’ and ‘Face Masks’ under the name ‘Dr.’ Morepen Product.’ The company manufacturing sanitizers as per the Govt. of India has approved a 70 percent isopropyl alcohol formula and also launched an 83 percent ethyl alcohol drug (WHO formula). In addition, ‘Hand Sanitizers’ and ‘Hand Rub’ developed by the company often contain moisturizers such as Aloe Vera, which helps avoid hand dryness when applied several times a day. Dr. Morepen’s wide variety of hand sanitizers catering to the cross-section of customers, such as individuals, commercial establishments, hospitals, and government agencies, are supplied in a number of pack sizes ranging from 100ml., 200 ml., 500 ml., 1000 ml. and bulk packs of 5 Liters. The company has expanded its manufacturing base and already supplied more than 2 million units of its hand sanitizers. Dr. Morepen Hand Sanitizers are sold to the public. Dr. Morepen Face Mask (2-ply and 3-ply) is sold in a pack of five (5) and fifty (50) masks according to consumer requirements. Wearing face masks and maintaining social distance have become relevant and crucial in almost every part of our country in the wake of prevalent Coronavirus disease. Wearing Face Mask has been made mandatory by the government in the hotspots of every state. Government has set MRP of common use face masks at Rs. 8/-and Rs. 10/-for 2-ply and 3-ply masks, respectively, and is selling its goods at the same price.
