Movie teaser: Main Mulayam Singh Yadav
This is an amazing tale of how the son of a farmer, based in a small village in Uttar Pradesh, becomes the supreme leader of his kingdom. Director Suvendu Ghosh and producer Meena Sethi Mondal have come together to present this inspiring tale with Amyth Sethi in the lead role of Mulayam Singh Yadav.
A farmer’s son in a small village named Safai in the district of Etwas, Uttar Pradesh, fought in the most adverse situation to become the supreme leader of his state. Coming from a very modest family, his father wanted him to be a wrestler, but he was destined to become something bigger. In one of the wrestling contests, the local political leader Nathuram saw this young boy slamming wrestlers that were twice the size of him, and Nathuram saw this small, willing boy and gave him his first opportunity to enter politics.
It was his luck that Nathuram also introduced him to one of the country’s most prominent leaders of that period, Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia. Nathuram even supported him with a job as a Karhal teacher, but his main focus remained on politics.
Lohia’s belief in human equality and other issues of social justice deeply inspired Yadav’s own ideas of standing up for the rights of minorities, and his acts on the basis of those values marked his subsequent political career.
After Lohia was born in his life Former Prime Minister of India Chaudhary Charan Singh, from whom he learned the nitty-gritty of politics, and it was then that Mulayam Singh Yadav became a major name in UP politics, he was also the political heir to Chaudhary Charan Singh. Nathuram, Ram Manohar Lohia and Chaudhary Charan Singh were the three pillars that influenced the political experience of Mulayam Singh Yadav.
From a school teacher to Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister, this is the story of a man who had been in jail for 19 months at the time of the emergency. This is the story of a man who was shot the day he won his very first election. This is the story of a man who fought and made his way among the giants. While capitalism and bureaucracy were the key pillars of politics, he came and changed the situation, changing the system with larger political parties and big names.
