Redefining Beauty for Women – Aarzoo Shah
While most of us have been taught what beauty is supposed to look like, the transformation expert and the upcoming author, Aarzoo Shah, continues to question the concept by teaching women how to find their true strength and true beauty.
As part of the effort to help people believe in themselves, Aarzoo has created a video series called ‘I’m Beautiful from the inside,’ in which she interviews people who have set an example of what a positive sense of self means. By having guests including IPS officers, national award winners, national champions, actresses, models, artists, businessmen and even survivors of rape and acid attacks, this series has never been seen before to redefine elegance.
Aarzoo has had emotional conversations with actresses like Divyanka Tripathi, Gauahar Khan, Gul Panag, Anita Hassanandani, Sara Arfeen Khan, Riddhi Dogra, among others. The goal of the video series is to bring about a shift in the way we think about beauty and strength and how there are women out there who have proved that through their inspiring stories. The video series can be found on Aarzoo’s YouTube channel.
Aarzoo Shah, a young girl who had gone through a series of experiences at a young age in her life, taught her how important it was to respect herself in such a way that she would expect nothing but the best of herself, particularly as a woman. Finally, she went on a quest to help women reclaim their true power by recognizing the beauty that resides inside them.
In a world where even today 64 percent of women in urban areas are engaged in household jobs, it is difficult to understand the real impact of xenophobia at its heart. Where the patriarchy continues to determine the definition of beauty in subtle ways, these women have described what real beauty means to them. Keeping this in mind, Aarzoo’s first novel, ‘Dare To Be You,’ which will soon be published, is the next step in her quest to teach women how to find their true strength and courage.
Although there are various expectations, meanings and ways of recognizing and accept beauty, maybe the new approach will be to look inward and not outward. A vision to bring about progress, Aarzoo aims to travel the globe and influence people through conferences, workshops and networks.
